My 3.5yr old GSD suddenly started having seizures in December 24. Vets did tests no reason identified. By January I was considering tablets for epilepsy, reducing my dogs life and possibly causing other health problems. I was doing plenty of research and came across pure coconut oil as a possible help. I read your reviews and decided it was a good option. My GSD went 17 days at most without having seizures. Since he has been having your pure coconut oil we are on day 25. I can only thank you and highly recommend trying your product before resorting in expensive vet bills. Yes I have ordered more.😊

The neurologist at our veterinary clinic advised putting our dog on Purina Pro-plan Neurocare as it’s had some results in decreasing epileptic seizures in dogs. Unfortunately our dog hated it and refused to eat it. I then learnt that the key ingredient in Neurocare was MCT oil and was surprised to find that I could buy it as an oil that I could add to her regular food. Before I started Coco on MCT oil, in October 2022, she was having cluster seizures every 3-4 weeks and this had been going on for over a year. At this point she was already on 3 different drugs (Pexion, Levetiracetam & Epityl) and the vet was trying to juggle the doses to see if we could get on top of the seizures or, at very least, reduce the frequency. They also decided it was time to introduce another drug (LiBromide), so now she was on 4 different drugs and we’d just started her on Ourons MCT oil for dogs (3tsps a day). I can’t honestly say if it was the LiBromide or the MCT oil or the combination of the two things together but this was a major breakthrough for Coco because her last cluster seizure was on Oct 26th 2022. She still has breakthrough seizures every now and then but we can stop her from clustering and, I’m pleased to say, over the last 2yrs, Coco has had just 4 seizures and all were single seizure events, compared to 28 seizure events the year before, many of which were clusters (i.e. anything from 2 to 6 seizures in a 24hr period). Unfortunately I can’t honestly say how much of an impact the MCT oil has had but I know that studies have shown that it can make a big difference for some dogs and Coco’s happy that she gets to eat what she likes rather than that boring Neurocare kibble. For me, it’s a no brainer… she likes it, it improves her neural function anyway and, I suspect, it’s making a difference by helping to stop the seizures and I’d rather have her on Ourons MCT oil than on even more meds than she’s on now and put even more stress on her liver and kidneys.

After reading the reviews of what coconut oil can do for epileptic dogs I thought I’d give it a go so far so good we’re only 10 days in so when I buy another one I will review again but my dog loves it
